This is an assessment: NO TALKING
Task#1: Final Project Image If you haven't already get your final project image from the process step folder linked below: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BznGzFiOk38CYXJYWG5zcE1mbVE?usp=sharing Have your project out if you need a final project picture. I will come around to take photos at 9:30 Task#2: Self-Evaluation On your next two slides you will write you self-evaluation/reflection.
Task#3: Final Project The last slide after your two self-evaluation slides should be an image of your final project. This should be the last slide of your unit. Task#4: Due Date Your two self-evaluation slides and final image are due by 9AM Friday in your digital sketchbook. If you finish in class finish working on your process step slide due Friday at 9AM. Task#1: Project Deadline: Gallery Critique-Due Today-Digital Sketchbook Final Project-Today is the last class day to work on your project.
Task#2: Homework Uploaded 9AM Process Step Slide: Number and reflect on the images you will use for this slide. You do not need to use all the images you took. You will need 4-5 pictures that best show your process as well as one image of your final process. Create a layout on your slide for the images to easily flow from step to step. Number your steps and begin reflection on your process. See Examples below. Task#3: Supplies
Get out projects and supplies (charcoal, eraser, gesso, watercolor, paintbrush, paint palette water cup) Task#4: Projects DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE PROCESS STEP PICTURES!!! You will need 4-5 process step pictures as well as a final image of your project on your process step slide. At this point your composition should be blocked in on your project paper and you should have at least one process step image (see process step example on 1/6/17 blog post). Everybody should be working with gesso and watercolor at this point. Do not leave your background until the end. Begin blocking in your background as you work on your subject. You will go back and forth with gesso, watercolor and charcoal several times to create your final image. Add process step picture to your drive folder and your digital sketchbook. Warm-UP: Before 9AM--Artist Research
Must be on your digital sketchbook by 9AM. Do not open your digital sketchbook after you have submitted your artist research in order to keep from getting a late grade. Task#1: Due Dates 1/13: Artist Research (On Powerpoint by 9AM) 1/20: Final Project (Must have 4-5 process steps documented) 1/23: Gallery Critique Task#2: Supplies Get out projects and supplies (charcoal, eraser, gesso, watercolor, paintbrush, paint palette water cup) Task#3: Projects DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE PROCESS STEP PICTURES!!! At this point your composition should be blocked in on your project paper and you should have at least one process step image (see process step example on 1/6/17 blog post). You should now be working on/finishing up your background and or pushing value with charcoal and the eraser. Do not get caught up trying to make this step "perfect"...it layer one of many. You will go back and forth with gesso, watercolor and charcoal several times to create your final image. Add process step picture to your drive folder and your digital sketchbook. Task#4: Clean UP

Project Paper, Charcoal and Computer Task#2: Block in Composition Begin by lightly blocking in your composition with the charcoal. Task#3: Document Your Process You will need to record your working process as you add materials and layers to your project. See examples above. I will take photos for you if you need. As you take photos start collect them on your next digital sketchbook page Keep them numbered and in order so that you can easily add in your process reflection later. Task#1: Project Paper Get your project paper and write your name on the back in the lower right corner. Task#2: Artist Research Work on artist research. Remember you will need 2 slides:

Finish your final project drawing on the opposite side of from your thumbnail sketches. This should be based of your photoshop crop from last class. Task#2: Project size On the space provided on the left side of the board write down what size you would like me to cut your project paper.
