Your final reflections will need to be dropped in my School Space Drop box by 9AM Monday, November 3rd. DO NOT FORGET: you will need to give me your sketchbooks (with your gallery critique) by 4pm on Monday!!! Please make sure it is organized and everything is labeled. If you reflection is not on the same double page spread as the experiment then each page will need to reference the other. (see reflection on page... or see charcoal/gesso study on page...) Make sure every page has a title (Media Study/Watercolor Paper)(Charcoal/Watercolor/Gesso Study) (Paper Experiment Reflection). Up date your Table of Contents and make sure every thing is glued down. The Gallery Critique should be glued in to your sketchbook and labeled.
Follow directions from Wednesday's post to complete both parts your MP1 Exam. We will be framing your project today as well.

Today is your assigned Marking Period 1 exam day. I have put your exam in the Wrapped Folder on School Space. To access your exam go to the Wrapped Final Exam folder and first complete your final self-assessment rubric: M1_3 (save this document as LastnameFirstname_M1_3). Make sure you type your name with in the document to receive full credit. Then go to the Wrapped Final Reflection document. I prefer for you to answer the questions in paragraph form in chronological order, but don't specifically write the questions. Some of the questions can be group together into one paragraph because they are closely related. Please pay close attention to point value for the questions. The higher the point value the more information I need in order to give you full credit and the highest possible score. When you have finished this reflection save it as LastnameFirstnameWrappedReflection. Make sure you type your name on this document as well in order to receive full credit. When you have finished both documents you will need to drop them in the Wrapped Lesson Drop Box on School Space (not the blog drop box). Your reflection will not be due until the end of class on Friday, October 31st.
Make sure you Mid-Way assessment M1_2 and M2_2 get glued into your sketchbook. Don't forget Gallery Critique Due on Monday. I do not have you on Monday, because of the schedule change to odd day, so you will need to drop off your sketchbook to me for final grading and your Gallery Critique should be inside the sketchbook. If you feel you will forget to bring me your sketchbook on Monday then leave it at the end of class on Friday so that you don't get a zero. Warm-up:

If you need your sketchbook to finish your project plan you may come by my classroom during 7th block or after school. I have art club so I might be in Studio 2 or Studio 3. If you are missing any assignments you have until 9 Am on Thursday, October 16th to turn in the work for a late grade out of 90%. If you have a low grade for Project Plans you may show me those next class and I will change your grade. Be prepared to give me your paper type and size/sizes next class so you can begin working on your final project.
Post-it Notes: Read all post-it notes before you remove them. Write down the page # they were posted to as well as what "things to think about" criteria the feedback would belong. Then place post-it notes on the Sticky Note page in your sketchbook. Go to IB 10>IB 10 documents drop down tab and open/save the Composition PowerPoint. You will need to take notes.
Today in class we will go over composition and discuss ways that you may set up your final project. You will then create project plan thumbnail sketches, create a final project plan, and give me your paper type and size/sizes. You will leave your sketchbook in the IB 10 cabinet at the end of class for assessment. Make sure your Mid-Way Wrapped Self-Assessment is dropped in the School Space drop box before you leave class!!!
Peer Review Day: Make sure your name is at the top of each page that is handed out. Do not fill the section for Peer Grader. If you did not complete all of your Artist Research or it is not in your sketchbook, you WILL NOT participate in the peer review process. You may work on your incomplete artist research in class. You will have a late grade out of 90% when you turn in your sketchbook on Wednesday for Assessment and you will have a zero for peer review. |
