WarmUP:
- Create a slide for your wrapped object "wrapped object"
- What object did you bring in and why? Personal Connection.
- take a picture of your object / add to slide (UNWRAPPED)
- What was the original context of your object? What was it function? How was it used?
HOW DO WE TAKE A GOOD PHOTO?
BACKGROUND, LIGHTING, FOCUS
Task#1: Wrapped Object
- Either using the fabric and thread provided or using your own, begin wrapping your object
- remember to use the thread or string to pull the fabric tight across the from
- create interesting contours and folds
Task#2: Document
Take 10 pictures of your object
at least 5 must be from different angles
at least 5 must explore your object from a compositional stand point.
Task#3: Slide
Add 4 images to your slide all from different angles
(2 must have good cropping / composition)
Make sure you added a picture of your original unwrapped image along with warm-up and closure questions responses.
Task#4: Closure
Add your reflection to your "wrapped slide". Due Monday 9/9
- discuss your object in terms of Criteria A:
- "Aii:Knowledge/Understanding: demonstrate understanding of the role of the art form in original or displaced contexts"
- How have you now changed that context by wrapping your object? What is it's function now? Remember your unit vocabulary.
- What decisions did you have to make while wrapping your object?
- How did your personal aesthetics impact your decisions?
- Remember this unit is focusing on presentation.
