Task#1: Get out your object to wrap. Task#2: Wrapping When you wrap your object you want to make accentuate for form not mask it. You can have some parts of your object showing, but the majority of it needs to be covered. Use the thread to pull the fabric in order to highlight the form. We don't have a lot of thread so please use it sparingly. Task#3: Document Take picture of your object from multiple angles. Put these photos in your google drive folder. Task#4: Charcoal (p.57) We will start our study of today. We will use charcoal pencils and compress charcoal block. I do not have enough of these supplies for everybody to have their own so you will need to share at your table. 1st-Value Scales/Basic Shape 2nd-Fabric study (we will use a zoomed in view of your wrapped object for this study. Task#5: Homework Reflection over today's process. Object Reflection: Criteria Aii (p.56) Discuss your object in terms of it original function and/or context. Process Reflection: (p56) Reflect on the different types of charcoal, your process, strengths/weakness, and areas for improvement. Print Photos: P.58-59 Print out 3.5x5 inch pictures of your wrapped object and glue them into your sketchbook. |
