Task#1: Discussion of Project requirement
composition, portrait, identity/creativity, craftsmanship
Task#2: Final Product Examples and discussion of options.
Using a double page spread create 4 different thumbnail sketch ideas. These must address you criteria for the project (composition, portrait, identity/creativity). Each of the 4 sketches will need to included a description/reflection of your idea for the project, materials to be used and link to your criteria. See Examples.
Task#5: Slides that should be updated and finished on your google slide show
Collage slide with the 3 steps in the process (collage, gesso/graphite transfer, final painted portrait)
Skin tone slide with media study, palette picture and reflection.
Task#6: Due Dates
Family Tree Due Wednesday 4/6 (Wednesday after Spring Break)
This will give you a chance to talk to your family over the break. Remember this is a visual/creative family tree, think outside the box of what would traditional be made to show a family structure. This will need to be a double page spread in your sketchbook. You will be scored on composition, content, creativity and craftsmanship.
Gallery Critique will be due Monday 4/11
Artist Research will be due in your google drive presentation on Wednesday 4/13.
You must do this on your google slide presentation. You may use smaller text size to fit in the information (12-8 font depending on the text style). Make the arrangement of information interesting, using good composition and chronological order. You will have two slides for your artist research. One slide with your artistic bio (same requirements as before: brief bio, 3 images with analysis showing growth over the artist career, and statement of personal connect. The second slide will have an artist based media study (this will be kept in your sketchbook, but documented to go on your slide show). This image must be a portrait created in the style of your artist. You will also need to include a process reflection for you media study. See Powerpoint for additional artist research information.
