If you did not have it in the drop box by 4pm Friday your print did not get printed out and your stencil image is late. You will need to print your own image.
Task#1: Bridges
Double check your piece to make sure you have added all the correct bridges. If you missed some you can add them back in with a color pencil. If you did have to add in bridges make sure you discuss this on your process page.
Task#2: Encaustic
The encaustic wax (50% paraffin / 50% bees wax) is used to make the paper stronger and easier to cut.
You will dip your stencil image into the encaustic and pull it back out giving it a light coating of wax.
Task#3: Cutout
You will begin cutting out your black areas. Be careful to not cut through your bridges. All white spaces must be connected.
Task#4: Document/Closure
Take a picture of your final cutout stencil. Put it on a black background so it shows up clearly. Add this image to your stencil process slide and add reflection over this process.
