- How did you score on your last artist research?
- What elements do you need to improve upon?
- Did you get full credit for in text MLA citation? How can you improve this?
- Did you score above a 40 on Analysis? If not? Why and how can you improve?
- How can you improve your personal connection to the artist?
Select one artist, from the 3 discussed in the unit intro, to research more in depth.
- Why are you selecting this artist?
- Can you find information on several bodies of work (or series) your artist has created in chronological order?
- How does their work relate to what we are studying in class?
- What sort of media study could you do for this artist?
- Can you find at least 3 different sources of information about the artist?
Task#2: Start a new slide "artist research organize: Artist Name"
This will not be your final artist research slide, but rather a way for you to organize your thoughts and make sure submit the best and most accurate information on your next artist research.
Task#3: Images
Find 3 images from 3 different points in the artist career (add images to slide)
list the following for each image:
- title/date/media/size (site source)
- list unit vocab you see in this work
- list the body of work (or series) each piece is from, select work from different series
- give a brief description of the body of work (or series)
- list sources of information for this work, artist website and at least on other source...
All of the above information will be utilized when you write your analysis for your final artist research. See due date below.
