Our new resource book will educate victims of religious persecution in Iraq about their rights and ways to seek justice when those rights have been violated. These booklets will be provided to dozens of community leaders who have participated in our training program, to Yezidi women and girls who have escaped ISIS, and to other religious minorities, such as Christians, Kakai, and Shabak, who have been victimized.
We are seeking original artwork to illustrate this resource book, using the power of art to help convey the right to freedom of religion or belief.
Your artwork should attempt to convey one or more of the following themes and concepts:
- Religious identity
- Human dignity
- Freedom of expression
- Freedom to worship and openly express one’s religion
- Pluralism or diversity
- The freedom to choose a religion or belief
- Worship in community
- Teaching others about religion or belief
- Religious celebration and ceremony
- Migration/refugees
- Religious persecution
If you would like to submit artwork:
- Artwork should be 8” x 5.5” or larger.
- Artwork may be in color or black and white.
- Please email us a high resolution photograph of your artwork at [email protected] by Friday, May 20.
- Please mail the original artwork to Hardwired, Inc., PO Box 14743, Richmond VA 23221, postmarked by Saturday, May 21.
- Although we may not use all submissions, we will send you a copy of the resource book when it is published.
- Original artwork cannot be returned.
- Artists who submit work must sign a disclaimer providing Hardwired all rights to use the artwork for non-profit purposes.
