In your sketchbook map out how you want to complete your project.
- select a final composition
- outline what materials and in what combinations you will you use them
- reflect on process and what materials you need to use first
Task#1: Composition
Open your image in photoshop and create a good composition that is 16x20 or 20x16. Save this image to use as a reference for your final project.
Task#2: Project paper
Get your project paper and begin by putting a 1/2" tape border around the edges using the orange tap.
Task#3: Charcoal
Begin loosely blocking in your form with charcoal. Remember to not get two detailed at this point because you will be adding in more materials. Do not use any other material today besides Charcoal and Eraser.
Task#4: Clean up at 3:00
You will be moving to Vaughn's room at 3:10.
- put away charcoal
- put your name on the back of your paper
- put paper on the drying rack
- wipe down tables
- put chairs up
Task#5: While in Vaughn's room
Working from your photos draw a sketch of your final composition using pencil or ebony pencil.
