Seniors you need to bring in work for you Senior Art Show. I need time to frame everything in time for the show so make sure you have your work to me ASAP.
Art 4: Get out your portfolios and begin to select your strongest work for the Henrico Art Festival. Bukuru-continue working on your painting.
Art 4-Work on new breadth work project and make a project plan for your home project. Art 3-Work on Art History Timeline part II. You have done the first half now you just need to finish the second half. I have attached your original instructions: Using the Art History Powerpoint as your guide create a time line on the tag board. You can work horizontally or vertically. Your dates much flow chronologically, there will be some overlapping of cultures and movements so you will need to figure out how you want to address that on your time line. For each of the following time periods/movements you will need record the following: Name/Date/Region/3 important facts/important works, select two of these to include an image label w/ title, artist name in know and date-put images you are going to use in a folder on your desk top and I will print them out for you, leave a small place for the image on the time line. You will have quiz over this information, but you will be allowed to use your time line on the quiz so make it good. The time periods/movements you will need to cover are listed below: Stone Age/Prehistoric Art Egyptian Art Ancient Greece Roman Empire Middle Ages (you only need to record the date and 3 facts) Byzantine Art Romanesque Gothic Art Renaissance Mannerism Baroque Rococo Neo-Classicism Romanticism Realism Impressionism Post-Impressionism Fauvism Expressionism Cubism Dadaism Surrealism Abstract Expressionism (1940's-50's) Pop Art Op Art (only need on image example) Photorealism Art 3: Using your computers you will need to research the artist couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude. In your sketchbooks you will need to sketch using charcoal 2 of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s projects. You will need select one image from the Wrapped Tree (http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/projects/wrapped-trees) page to sketch and one image from the Wrapped Monuments (http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/projects/wrapped-monuments) page to sketch. Each sketch should be half a page on the other half of the page you should write a brief statement about the project you have sketched.
Art 4: Work home or class breadth work project. Both will need to be turned in to the sub at the end of class. I will leave a folder with the sub for you to turned in your projects. Please label the back with your name and either breadth or home. |
