Elements of art: Line, Value, Shape
Principles of art: Contrast, Rhythm, Movement, Unity/Variety
- Fold paper into 24 sections
- Divide up sections with pencil or pen
- Follow along in class to create your own zentangle patterns

- Add value by repeating design
- Add more lines, closer together to create a darker value

Task#5: Project Steps
- 3 large organic shapes (2 of the shape must go off the page/no overlapping)
- 6 medium organic shapes (some must go off the page/no overlapping)
- Fill in the remainder of the negative space with organic shapes/no overlapping.

Task#6: Zentangle Designs
Begin to fill in the organic shapes with the zentangle patterns you practiced in class.
Larger areas = more detailed/harder designs
Smaller areas = simple/easier designs
