Look over this image of "I AM" Positive Affirmations.
Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes. You might consider affirmations to be unrealistic "wishful thinking." But try looking at positive affirmations this way: many of us do repetitive exercises to improve our physical health, and affirmations are like exercises for our mind and outlook. These positive mental repetitions can reprogram our thinking patterns so that, over time, we begin to think – and act – differently. You do not have to use my suggested affirmations, but if you pick your own please make it positive =). I want you to try to say these one positive affirmation to yourself everyday for the rest of this marking period. It take time to form a habit, but habits can be changed through positive thought. |
Open your sketchbook to a clean piece of paper so that your page is orientated "landscape style" horizontally.
On the left side (back of your last activity) write your I AM Affirmation. We will use the clean paper on right side for this activity. Please make sure your paper is going long ways horizontally.
Task#2: Videos
I am going to show you 3 videos. Pick which video you want to use for your I AM Affirmation. You will have "I AM" going from center towards the left vanishing point then your Affirmation will go from the center point to the right vanishing point.
- The first video is probably the easiest and broken down the slowest, but the end product isn't as interesting. If you feel you have more advanced perspective skills ( meaning the perspective packet was easy for you) I suggest trying the next approach, but if the packet was hard for you, start out with this video your "I AM" will be in the same place as "Mr." for this video. And your Affirmation will be in the place of "Otter". https://youtu.be/dpWoX7OgWdQ
- The second video is a little bit more difficult and moves pretty fast but you can pause, stop and start the video when every you need. In this video the "I AM" will be in front of and overlap your Affirmation statement. "I AM" will be in the place of "yeah!" and your Affirmation will be in the place of "Funtimes". https://youtu.be/yXxMoNL3pjY
- The 3rd video is a time laps I made following the directions from the second video, except I wrote in my "I AM Affirmation" instead of "yeah Funtimes". There is no audio directions and the video is fast, but you can stop and start the video. When you make your image feel free to play around with fonts, caps and different types of letters. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kqnng_eKcrbvwf1HjacSXmf5Z-Q2a8mS/view?usp=sharing
