Seniors: COMPARATIVE STUDY
Part1:
You should have 4 slides for your Comparative Study from last year. If these slides are a mess you need to clean them up and make sure all images slides and images are labeled. Make sure you have a running bibliography of sources
Start the next 4 slides. I think gave everybody several artist last year. Use one of those artist unless you have a new artist you would like to focus on (please see me so we can go through the vetting process with the work you would like use). Do the same as above.
All 8 slides will be due on Wednesday 10/13 at 9AM

- Artwork 1 (intro to work with cultural context)
- Artwork 1 (formal qualities)
- Artwork 1 (Function, Purpose, and add-material significance if you don't already have this)
- Your Artwork compared to Artwork one (cultural context/formal qualities/function, purpose, and material significance).

- Take the 5 images/artist you find most interesting from your magazine research and add them to this group google slide presentation

- Look up each of your artist to see how much information you can find on them
- Each of your 5 slides should be together and contain the following information:
- a high quality photo of the work that first attracted your attention
- any other images you found by the artist you also find interesting
- Brief but specific information: website, gallery link, interviews, artist statement, videos...
- Key words or tags to describe the formal qualities (see vocab presentation thank you class of 2022)
- Format? google slides might not be the best for tagging and searching information, any suggestions for a different digital format?

- 9 pieces
- similar but different / mixed media and layering / working small and working in series
- layering information and imagery
- at least 3 layers of material
- series must be cohesive
- individual pieces must be able to stand alone

- Follow one of the 9 pieces all the way through.
- Document the process on your on a process page
- Record media and materials
- Discuss process and artist intent
- Include image of final series
