Get out Sketchbook and Ultra Fine Sharpie
Finish pencil basic shading for the pyramid and cube.
If you are going on the field trip you will eat A lunch tomorrow then immediately report to my room.
Task#1: Basic Shading Curving Shapes
Guided Practice:
I will re-demo the curving shapes and the sphere.
Independent Practice:
Finish the curving shapes with basic shading.
Task#2: Crosshatching Value Scale
- Use line
- vertical, horizontal, and both diagonal
- more lines = darker value
- less lines = lighter value
Task#3: Crosshatching Basic Shapes
Guided Practice:
I will demonstrate how to apply value to the basic shapes using crosshatching. Remember you need to have value transition when apply value to your shapes. Do not have hard lines between the value.
Independent Practice:
Start with the flat shapes then move into the curving shapes (cylinder and cone). Do not do the sphere.
Tasks#4: Sphere Value with crosshatching
Crosshatching value lines need curve to fit the form.
Task#5: Basic Shape Chart Organic
Guided Practice:
I will demonstrate how to create value using organic shading.
Independent Practice:
- do not create patterns
- more lines = darker value
- you can also adjusts your pressure
- more pressure for darker values
- less pressure for lighter value
- fill the entire square with value
Task#6: Homework
